Big Changes Are Coming to The Farm At New Gilead in 2027
The Farm At New Gilead has always been built around a simple idea: create a beautiful, flexible place where couples and families can celebrate without unnecessary complications or inflated costs.
As we look ahead to 2027, that commitment is growing.
We are excited to announce a major improvement coming to the property: air conditioning will be installed in the barn for the 2027 event season.
For couples planning a wedding near Charlotte, NC, especially during the warmer months, this is a meaningful addition. North Carolina summers are beautiful, but they can also be hot and humid. Adding climate control to the barn will give couples even more flexibility when planning ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and private events throughout the year.
It also represents the next chapter for The Farm At New Gilead as we continue investing in the comfort and experience of our guests.
A More Comfortable Barn Wedding Experience in North Carolina
Barn weddings continue to be a major part of the modern wedding landscape, but the style itself is evolving.
Couples planning for 2026 and 2027 are increasingly looking for wedding locations that combine natural beauty with practical comfort. Flexible spaces, scenic surroundings, historic character, and the ability to move comfortably between indoor and outdoor areas are becoming more important than ever. That direction fits naturally with The Farm At New Gilead.
The property offers the quiet beauty of the North Carolina countryside, expansive grounds, a pond, outdoor ceremony options, a bridal suite, and a barn that can transition from relaxed afternoon gatherings to elegant evening receptions. Beginning in 2027, climate control will add another layer of comfort to that experience. A summer reception can still feel like a summer reception, with open countryside outside and long North Carolina evenings, while guests have the option to step into a more comfortable indoor environment when needed.
For couples considering a June, July, August, or early September wedding near Charlotte or Concord, that added flexibility can make a significant difference.
The Opportunity to Lock In Current Pricing
The barn improvement will also bring an updated pricing structure beginning with 2027 weddings and events. But there is an important opportunity for couples currently planning ahead. Any wedding booked by December 31, 2026 can receive the current 2025 and 2026 wedding pricing, even if the wedding itself takes place in 2027.
That means couples who know they want to celebrate here in 2027 have an opportunity to secure their date before the new pricing takes effect.
Current Wedding Pricing Through 2026
Saturday weddings are currently $2,500.
Friday and Sunday weddings are $2,000.
Monday through Thursday weddings are $1,500.
The six-hour rehearsal dinner and setup package is currently $600.
Couples who book their 2027 wedding before December 31, 2026 can lock in these rates.
New 2027 Wedding Pricing
Saturday: $3,000

Even with the updated pricing, The Farm At New Gilead continues to offer an accessible option for couples searching for an affordable wedding location near Charlotte.
Our goal has never been to create a one-size-fits-all luxury package. Instead, we want couples to have the ability to build the celebration that makes sense for them.
Updated Pricing for Private Events
The Farm At New Gilead is also available for much more than weddings. The property can accommodate rehearsal dinners, engagement celebrations, anniversary parties, family gatherings, showers, corporate events, private celebrations, and other special occasions.
Current 2025 and 2026 event pricing is:
Friday through Sunday: $600
Monday through Thursday: $500
Additional time: $100 per hour
Beginning in 2027, new event pricing will be:

More Resources for Couples Planning Their Day
The changes coming to the property are only one part of what we are improving. We have also expanded our Preferred Vendors resources to make it easier for couples to find experienced professionals for their wedding day. Planning a wedding often involves assembling a surprisingly large team. Coordinators, planners, photographers, florists, caterers, bakers, rental providers, DJs, bartenders, and other professionals all contribute to the final experience.
Our preferred vendor resources are designed to give couples a starting point. Rather than requiring every couple to use a predetermined collection of vendors, The Farm At New Gilead maintains the flexibility that has always been central to our approach. Couples can explore professionals we know and recommend while still building an event that reflects their priorities, style, and budget.
We have also expanded our wedding and event planning resources with additional planners and coordinators, each with direct links so couples can learn more about their services.
Event Insurance Is Now Easier to Arrange.
We have also added a dedicated event insurance resource to the website. Event insurance may not be the most glamorous part of wedding planning, but it is an important piece of protecting a major celebration. Depending on the policy, event insurance can provide protection related to liability and other unexpected circumstances surrounding a private event. Couples can now access the event insurance option directly through our Preferred Vendors section and explore coverage appropriate for their celebration. We believe the planning process should become easier as your wedding approaches, not more complicated. Providing clear resources in one place is another way we hope to help.
